General Membership Meeting
February - 2005
The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by Chris White.
Chris introduced our speaker from American Cancer Society and
from Relay for Life.
Relay for Life
- Relay for Life handed out packets for teams and asked us to sign up if we
wanted to be on the JLH team.
- Relay for Life will be on April 8th at Boggus Stadium.
- The opening ceremonies will be on Friday at 6:30 and the final lap will
be on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
Tiffany Preddy spoke on behalf of RioFest.
- This year's focus is on the family.
- RioFest will be April 15-17.
- JLH will be in charge of the petting zoo and we can sign up at the March
meeting for shifts.
- This year's art is focused on "The Art in the Eye of Children"
and there will be a tribute to rock 'n roll.
We will discuss the 2005-6 charity event at the March meeting.
Ginger spoke about Attic Sale.
- Attic Sale is from 8-12 and clean up could last up to 1:30. Please be prepared
to stay if needed.
- Wear your JLH shirt or a JLH button
Lisa G. reminded us to pick up our placement manuals. Please view the manual
for there are changes.
